Bringing wonderful products to market each week, Quiet Creek Farms from Chetek Wisconsin starts its' 3rd season and will be located on the corner of Main Street and LeSeur in downtown LaPointe. They specialize in fresh produce, cut flowers, and pork. As you can guess, mother nature has a lot to do what is available each week, but that's part of the fun! Located half a block from the ferry landing, this complex features three, 100 year old buildings, offering a glimpse of Island life from another time. One of the buildings, Lake View School, takes you back to the days of the one-room schoolhouse. Restored by the Madeline Island Historical Preservation Association. A cooperative of weavers and other artists, this shop is famous for its' hand-woven rugs. Over 50 island artisans display items for sale, including cards, pottery, jewelry, various crafts made from Lake Superior rocks, and more. Custom work and demonstrations are also available. Open everyday from Memorial Day through the 1st week in October.
